This is a P.S. to my Genealogy Post a couple days ago.

Accidentally found this picture of my dad.

He's a "hat boy" too.  

I think the Watsons would listen to him, don't you?

I don't want to go to work today!
I just want to stay here and work on things around my house.

Put on some good music (we bought some 70's CD's), cook something good for supper, talk on the phone, take a nap, then go to the temple...all refreshed!

But alas, I have to go.

Once I get there and get a hug on my leg from a student, I'll be okay.

Meet the Watsons. (left to right) 

There's Dennis Daniel Watson (he's my cousin).

Then W. L Selby,   Dennis married  his sister, Alice.

Next: William Abb Parsons.  He married Dennis daughter, Ola Elgene. 

And, last but not least,   Dennis' own son, Foy Wallace Watson.  Foy? yes. Foy.

I guess they like their hats to shade their eyes. :)

Don't really know alot about them, yet I care about them....

'Cuz you see, we are family!

I like to think that my Dad is helping them know of the Gospel and the happiness that comes in being an eternal family.

I think he just might be doing that!

Henry B Erying (Hearts Bound Together Ensign  May 2005) said:

(They need you to go to the temple to do their work in their behalf.)  That is why we are under obligation to find the names of our ancestors and ensure that they are offered by us what they cannot receive there without our help. 

I think of the faithful missionaries, (Jack Hilterbrand), standing there with those they have loved and taught, who are your ancestors.   Picture as I do the smile on the face of that missionary as you walk up to him and your ancestors whom he converted but COULD NOT BAPTIZE OR HAVE SEALED TO FAMILY UNTIL YOU CAME TO THE RESCUE. 

I do not know what the protocol will be, but I imagine arms thrown around your neck and tears of gratitude."

       Oh Daddy!  I will work on this side to find the names and do the work of those you are teaching over yonder there!

Sister Power

My sister Marcia sent this Valentine to me today. (You can't see it, but all the white spots are glittery!)  Glitter is love, you know.

She sent it "Snail mail."

That's right, she looked for it, bought it, thought about it, wrote in it, addressed the envelop, licked it shut, put a stamp on it, took it to the mailbox.... (all those steps, for me!)

It IS very fun to get something in the mail!

    ...you know, like the good old days....

Inside the card reads:  Hope the day is fun loving and as fabulous as you are.

Then she writes:  "Love to a dear sister, I love you with all my heart." M

Wow! 

It's makes a girls day.

I have Three Sisters. 

 We aren't just sisters, we're friends. 

Each brings something unique to the mix.

And "what's important to one is important to all." 

We  have a lot of fun when we get together.

A bright spot in life is being and having Sisters.

 

Driving Miss Daisy

 

Took Mom to visit her brother Owen,  (the one in the wheelchair).

He is bedridden now and declining in health.  This Walker Clan is slipping away, one by one, to the other side.

It's good to know there is something to look forward over there, but gosh, it's hard to be separated from the ones you love so much. 

Miss Daisy has been very good to keep connected with her siblings. The Walker Family is strong with a heritage to be proud of.
