Time to say "So Long" to Elder Anthony Hunter. He has been living with Mom for the past 7 months. OH! how we'll miss him. He is a real gem. He has the bluest eyes and the sweetest disposition.
One of the things we loved about him, is that he made a real effort to "check in" with Mom as he came and went each day. (She loved it!) And he'd sit down and talk to her about "the work" too. Such a sweet gesture. Since Mom has been sick this past week, he has been especially attentive. "How are you today, Sister Hilterbrand...anything I can do to help you?"
I bought him a tie and wrote him a note. I told him that sometimes Mom would get kinda mad at him...he left lights on....but the minute he would walk in with his great big smile and teddy bear heart, she melted like butter and forgot "the lecture."
This Elder loved to cook..Spanish food of course...and he'd take out some of the spiceys to give Mom a taste. She got excited about the flavor of lime juice! They use it on everything.
Yip, he's been pure joy to have and we are very sad to say good bye. He was hard working, trustworthy and a true representative of Jesus Christ.
