I have been blessed to belong to two good families, the Bodilys and the Hilterbrands.
This week-end we celebrated "Life" (and each other) by going to a superbly planned Bodily Reunion.
A big thank you to Robert and Renee for all the time and effort they spent in making it all happen! It was fabulous! Perfect in every way!
A real plus to the whole thing was Rob's immaculate yard with plenty of fun things (swings, a tramp, slip and slide, kiddy pool, tree house, monkey bridge, bouncy balls) all for the kids to be entertained ! so "us adults" could relax, visit and enjoy the day!
Everybody helped with the food which was simple and delicious!
We put together 100 hygiene kits for Humanitarian aid. Kathie brought a tear to our eye as she told a true story of a lady who used and shared her kit
in a personal disaster.
I liked the caterpillar game! "A family who stays close together and works as a team...always wins... eh?"
The Bodily Brothers about to go...
BOOyyEEEIIINNGGG!
Looks like a simple task..walking down on a 2 by 4? (or Mortality Board)
Not so!
Couldn't do it without each others help...especially as we picked up those saving ordinance along the way... essential for each of family members happiness safe return.
It takes quite a convincing craft for my 4 girls to leave the shade of an 'ole oak tree and dive in...but Renee really hit the jack pot this time.
Each of mine LOVED the crafts! The magnets, scrapbook page, tiles, bangle bracelets, and paper boxes..complete with all the goodies to put them together....right there at our fingertips...way too mouthwatering to resist. We loved it! Big effort and expense here! But a heck of alot of fun! Thank you!
The rest of this needs no description:
Our family IS a circle of strength and love,
With each birth and union the circle grows,
Each joy shared adds more love,
Each crisis faced together makes the circle stronger.
