Real FLOUR SACK bags
About these bags....they are made from real honest to goodness vintage cotton flour sacks. The fabric is just wonderful. The ink used to stamp the bags is oil base and so the bags are washable...gently, with mild soap. Everything used in the construction of the bags is recycled (except the heavy duty woven straps). I shop garage and estate sales for damaged quilt tops, buttons, fabric, tablecloths, linens, old levis (I use the pockets and inseams) and any other bits and bobs I can use. Because I am a conflicted vintage girl...liking true rustic vintage and romantic vintage - I like to fancy up the inside. Kind of like wearing fancy underclothes - it is a secret that makes you walk with a spring in your step and a smile on your face, as the owner of a bag, you'll know the secret inside. One customer asked if the purse is reversible. While I don't design them to be - the inside is as fun as the outside. Things like a vintage hanky or repurposed jewelry are often tucked inside.
