We LOVE color

I think.
The tights arrived.
They are delicious!

I think...they are so yum.
And why the picture beside the red blanket.
Well...I am wearing them today with a black skirt and red jacket.
Remember they don't match anything in my wardrobe.

And the red jacket is more the color of this red chair.

And my skirt is quite long and so there is just this fun bright bit of "HELLO YELLOW" peeking out from under neath.

I am wearing them to a funeral.
A dear friend.
I hesitated.
But this dear friend - lived an amazing and wonderful life.
A life worthy of celebrating.
So I am celebrating.
In my little yellow way.

p.s. I love this company.
WE LOVE COLORS is the name of where I ordered these.
 As promised they fit even me.
They are soft and wonderful.
They arrived VERY quickly and the postage was VERY reasonable.
Order some and then show me your color.
Be bold - don't listen to the news.
The sky is NOT falling.

p.s.s. A little tip a friend taught me about successfully wearing panty hose..so they don't slip down about your knees.
Oh, I have a funny story about that and my mother and being hobbled carrying a big-hot-messy-dippy casserole into the church.
Well, use your imagination.
 Oh, and another time at church she could hardly waddle to the bathroom to 'fix it'.
Anyway, the tip....wear cotton (donotwearslickysatinsyntheticnylony) underwear.

Now, off to bring some 'comfort and cheer' at a funeral.

p.s.s. I also order black and green striped.
What do I have that won't match - I can wear them with?
Oh, about anything in my closet.

Reasons to be happy and laugh out loud

When I am  Now I am old I can toss caution to the wind.
I ordered some of these, in bright - doesn't-match-anything-in-my-wardrobe-colors.
YAHOO!
(Now if I can just convince RR that we don't want a boring old lady Toyota Camry and want a fun hip RAV4 instead....wish me luck. We currently drive vehicles that aren't even in this century - and have begun to shop. Oh price-sticker shock!)

It has warmed up enough we have rain instead of snow in the forecast.
YAHOO!

When I set up my ironing board, and it performed it's witch screech,  I thought about this and I laughed out load - all over again!

My favorite commercial still drops me to the floor laughing..."Your son Rip is on line Toot."
I don't like bathroom talk, in fact, I hate it...but for some reason that commercial always makes me laugh out loud.

I'm trying very hard to not sob into my laundry when I think about this little person and her family going back home, 800 miles away.

Mannequin

A little local shop went out of business and so in addition to marked down prices on all the clothing they sold all the equipment.
I bought this little body part.
Not really a bust as there is no head.
But maybe it  really is a "bust" as that is all there is..from the neck to the navel.

I brought her home and decoupaged  tissue pattern pieces on her unattractive plastic frame.
(Her back is hollow and so best to not show that part - we all need our privacy, ya know)
I am thinking I can use her to display some jewelry pieces, I am fiddling with, for the shows.
I quite like her.
My granddaughter (A - who is 10) raised a question.
A: Grandma that lady doesn't have clothes on.
Me: No she is just a mannequin I'll use to show my jewelry on.
A: But Grandma her "nurse-ers" are showing.
Me: She is just made from plastic and I covered her with tissue paper.
A: She doesn't looked covered to me, Grandma.

I am thinking that perhaps a t-shirt will be appropriate.
We are "into" modesty around these parts.

Home movies...

We have elevated home movies to a new level.
We can now post them to our blog for others to view at their yawn-yawning pleasure.
These are mostly for family.

Back in the Magic Room...once I get this big lump out of my throat - vacuum - find and discover treasures strewn about the house.

Meals planned and semi prepared, check.
Time to wipe the kisses off this computer screen and have that new baby and her family here.

If you need to lose 20 pounds - buy a dog.

It worked for me.
Unfortunately - it isn't walking the dog that made the difference.
In fact, I haven't lost the 20 pounds.
Ugh.
Oh, I'd like to.
But.
Today I read a friends blog.
Laurel.
We are not only blogging friends.
We have actually met.
Each of her blog entries is a delight to read.
And she is a delight.
We have even hugged on more than one occasion.
I adore her.
Today she talked about this.
I read.
I enjoyed.
I chuckled.
But no way am I taking that test.
I need to lose 20 pounds, remember?
Okay.
I took the test.
It takes a few minutes.
Then you wait for a hour or so for the results.
During that hour, I had a stomach ache.
I thought about RR...who is so vulnerable to the power of suggestion when it comes to health issues.
I say I have a headache, ten minutes later - so does he.
I say my throat is scratchy, he has a sore throat.
He is one that actually reads the side affects of every medicine and then has them.
ALL of them.
Diarrhea and constipation.
Check my email -  like 5 times.
The results are in.
I AM 3 1/2 YEARS YOUNGER THAN MY REAL AGE!!
Yahoo.
I have been doing the happy dance.
I guess am vulnerable to the power of suggestions also.
Apparently having arthritis, is not life threatening -  you just groan every time you get up and down.
And...um, I think being happily married and having a dog canceled out the 20 extra pounds.
(Laurel...maybe you should rethink the dog issue)

Woot.
Go - give it a try...if you dare.
The real question is....do I have RR give it a try?
