We decided to wave good-by to Summer with a train ride.
The views from the window were breath taking.
But the best part was sharing the day with these fine folks.
Yes - it was a bit cold...not heated - old fashion.
And every seat was full - that little town of Ione with maybe 20 residents, well, okay maybe 50 residents, was full of visitors enjoying history and ride down memory lane.
After the ride we enjoyed playing on the "not traveled" train tracks - just being together. There is something about trains, isn't there?
And family and hugs and kisses...
And having a 'bestest' friend to enjoy it all with. And yes, kids, in case you wonder we talk about you, think about you, pray for you, wish for you, worry with you, want the best for you. You are our conversation, our life, our everything.
Bye bye Summertime
Get out the neck scarfs, and hoodies, and firewood and begin the Christmas music. '(I love Christmas music) TIs the season.
