Having a life threatening disease changes you. It does something to the inside-where-you-live-part-of-you and makes you and your life different.
I no longer have a life-threatening disease (thank you, dear Loving Heavenly Father) but something inside has changed. I want to be different.
First a picture. It is our son with his China doll baby and her Great-grandmother, who happens to be 97 and mostly blind and can see only shadows and shapes.
Can you feel what I feel when I see this picture? Gentle and loving. Gentle and loving. Both the Grandson and the Grandma. See it?
That is what I want to be...more gentle and loving.
So my Valentine this year....
"gentle and loving in deed and in thought"
From the song by Janice Kapp Perry
(wait for the song to load..click on words and music - enjoy)
I’m trying
to be like Jesus;
I’m
following in his ways.
I’m trying
to love as he did,
in all that
I do and say.
At times I
am tempted to make a wrong choice,
but I try
to listen as the still small voice whispers:
"Love one
another as Jesus loves you.
Try to show
kindness in all that you do.
Be gentle
and loving in added and in thought,
