I would like organize a Christmas Cookie exchange. I don't want disgusting - store bought, overbaked, dry or boring cookies. I want yummy, "I can't believe how incredible these are" cookies. I mean. "these are the best things to ever touch my lips" cookies.
I don't quite know how to go about organizing this but a few things I do know. It would be by invitation only, not just anyone can show up with a plate of cookies and join in. (Thus the name for the club has 'snob' included) also, for all those who apply, these are a few questions to answer to see if you qualify:
(True of False)
1. Have you even had the thought, "I'll just substitute margarine for butter in this recipe?"
2. Have these words every come out of your mouth, "I like that, but it is just too rich."
3. Do you think Ina Garten uses too much butter when she cooks?
I know a few people I'd like invite, Jon Jon immediately comes to mind. Oh, Jon - who else should we invite?
*UPDATE*
Per Jon's comment:
4. Do you ever check to see the calorie count or fat grams before you eating a cookie?
Also...
5. Do you use dried up nasty raisens in recipes?
6. If a cookie recipe says cook 10 - 12 minutes do you cook for 14 minutes just to be sure?
