I am happy to say I am un-ashame-ed-ly, hopelessly, whooped and in love, a nice place to be. I love this season of our lives, empty nest,  kids and grands - some close by - healthy and living with  my very bestest friend in the whole wide world. Mr Rick..you make my heart sing and safe and happy and content and full of joy.

I think about you, Mom and Dad, and hope your good memories will be with you this day. Thank you Mom and Dad for loving each other. THANK YOU!  It ISN'T good to be alone...nope.

Let's all treasure this day...for what it really means...it isn't good to be alone, it isn't good. And there is a plan so we don't have to be....ever.....!

He was itchy....

Ok, so, Rick goes to  "Pesticide Re-certification"  classes every year. He has to stay certified so he can spray pesticide in connection with his work. This year - like years past - it was a two day long affair  talking about haz-mat protection, wearing the space suits, rinsing all equipment 3 times, taking a shower after using pesticide. (For those of you who know Rick...you know what this means...for those who don't, rest assured, Rick follows EVERY precaution.) They also talk about current bug species and what works best to eliminate them - formulas of pesticides etc. W.e.l.l.l.l.l on the last day the last lecture was about bedbugs.  ( warning! Don't look at those pictures unless you are bug proof) and dust-mites
Oh, MY!. Rick came home itchy. Real itchy. Of course, we don't have any symptoms of bedbugs- bites, tailings etc,  but that didn't matter folks...he was ITCHY....right behind his ears...and on his legs and well, you get the idea. Sooooo...I have now washed every article of bedding...on and off our bed...used extra measure of Clorox on the pillows and mattress pads. I have vacuumed the mattress...both sides. Now when we go to bed it smells like CLOROX and a Laundromat. Which is just fine with Mr Rick.  Today he said, "I need a scrub brush to scrub my body so I can get rid of this dry skin - so we don't get critters in our bed." I am not sure but I think this Clorox debugging - routine has become part of our monthly cleaning. What do you think?
Can I blame this 'thing' on old age? Over the years Rick has never been itchy. Not really. Or maybe it is a cumulative effect...pesticide training AND listening to son-in-law talking about itchiness and  the "water line" has now finally reached the 'Clorox-every-month' level. At any rate...when we lift the blankets at night we don't have those lovely lavender smells you are suppose to spritz on your sheets wafting through the air it is Clorox - oh,  yeah, baby.

So how is your day going?

I overslept because Rick overslept..hurry hurry...thank goodness I had yummy leftovers in a tupperware for lunch...toss into purse...hurry hurry...out the door....stop at stop light...purse topples off the seat upside down on the floor and lid pops off lunch and yummy leftovers are spilled in all its splendor on the floor of car....oh, fiddle....get to work...try and toss yummy lunch into snowbank....drop floor mat...yummy lunch splats onto front of dress and shoes and socks...oh, fiddle..go to door of work....somebody decided for FHE to toss a dozen eggs at the door of the CES office...oh, fiddle.....finally get into work...pre-soaking cleaner on the eggs in place...sit down to work....no glasses...oh, fiddle!....find spare pair 125's in car (inside of car smells like leftovers) ....need 175's...other than that I am having a great day.
